Project Overview
After studying the brand, it was noticed that they are making sustainable clothing for all women and the clothing can only be bought on their website. Users find it easier to shop from an app and would like the option to choose. So as a case study, piggybacking on UrbanSuburbans brand, an app is design for the users to make their sustainable fashion shopping more user friendly.

Understanding the problem
One of the biggest culprits in the fashion industry is “fast fashion,” or clothes made cheaply to meet demands for the hot new styles. However, fast fashion is putting our future planet at risk.
In recent years, sustainability has become a buzzword and turned a few heads. Just as consumers today are taking a closer look at the food they consume and the chemicals they put into their bodies, they are also shifting their purchasing decisions to create a cleaner environment through the clothes they wear.
As a brand striving constantly to work towards sustainability, UrbanSuburban holds themselves accountable towards the smallest action that they take. Right from local sourcing of surplus fabrics to making each garment available on demand only to ensure they don’t get into the vicious cycle of mass production.
Design Solution
To design a solution for the problem being faced in the rapid growing fashion industry, an app and supportive collaterals are created using the UrbanSuburban brand language to promote sustainable fashion.

Styling Guide
To design a solution for the problem being faced in the rapid growing fashion industry, an app and supportive collaterals are created using the UrbanSuburban brand language to promote sustainable fashion.

After building the wireframes and understanding the brand language, a prototype of the main feature of the app was created. This is to demonstrate how user friendly shopping can be for a specific brand.

A few collaterals like brochure, notebook etc were designed according to the brand visual style to support the project.

Learnings
Fashion has always been an interest of mine and taking up a project on sustainable fashion was absolutely exciting. Using an existing brand, saved me time and challenged me to create a visual identity for an already available style guide. I was able to create collaterals and explore the visual style for a sustainable fashion brand. This helped me develop and ideate on an existing brand identity which later helped me excel with my clients during my internship at 17D North.
